Dave Phillips
I trained in psychotherapy through Dublin Counselling and Therapy Centre’s 4 year post-graduate course, and prior to that I worked for several years as part of the bereavement support team at St. Francis Hospice in Dublin.
I have experience working with a wide range of people, with a special interest in grief and bereavement, trauma-informed approaches to therapy, and existential issues. I also work with people preparing for, or recovering from surgery.
My drive to work with people struggling with deeper issues came through my own experiences in hospital, where I’ve had several heart surgeries, both as a child and adult. Having a first-hand understanding of the impact that adverse experiences can have psychologically and emotionally is foundational to my work.
